The purpose is to extract from the multiple pages of the BCF Road/Track rankings the details of any riders which match a specified search term (usually a cycling club - it defaults to ribble valley).
It's probably best to keep the search term as short as possible (while not matching unwanted riders) in case of any 'typos' in the BCF list of club names.
This form searches the end-2002 rankings (which may well be removed by the BCF at any time).
The search makes plenty of assumptions about the form of data it expects to find on the BCF listings.
